More Music From The Inbox 19 Nov 2013: The Beaches, Lydia Loveless, Papermaps and More!

November 19th, 2013 | by Larry Lootsteen

By: Scott Jones

Artist: The Beaches, “Loner”

Album: The Beaches

The Torontonian ladies on this album might not have been raised in New York City, but one listen would have you guessing otherwise. The hard-edged CBGB’s sound is prevalent all over the place. They love to have fun, but aren’t shy to induce sore necks from the constant head-bopping that listeners are sure to be doing while the record is on “play.”

Sounds like:  Alt-post-punk that should have you contemplating buying a leather jacket.
