Cypress Hill is About to Turn a Simpsons Joke into Reality

One of my favourite Simpsons episode of all time was “Homerpalooza” from 1996 when Homer joined an alt-rock tour suspiciously similar to Lollapalooza. While he got shot in the stomach with a cannonball as part of the daily freak show, groups like Sonic Youth, the Smashing Pumpkins and, er, Peter Frampton played for the crowd.

Also on the bill was Cypress Hill who accidentally ordered up the London Symphony Orchestra–probably while high.

Cool, but this would never happen, right?  Actually, CH seems to be thinking about making this a reality.

  • The Tea Party is currently in Australia playing the second show in a week with a symphony. From all accounts, it’s amazing!
