How Does Music Help Us Heal? We Now Have a Better Idea of How Music Therapy Works.

The value of music therapy has been known for decades. It works, but why? Scientists are flummoxed. Now, though, they’re getting closer to learning how music works with the brain to help us heal.

The current thinking is that the brain can compensate for other issues by using music to communicate. It’s not always successful, but the efficacy can’t be discounted.
