New Speaker Technology Uses Nanotubes

A new type of speaker that doesn’t include any moving parts may herald in a new era in headphone design.

Using nanotubes heated and cooled by alternating current, the speakers create soundwaves–and there doesn’t seem to be any significant issues with wear.  

I have no idea what they sound like, but since they’re cheap to manufacture and durable, I’m interested.

Here’s a demonstrate of “thermoacoustic music.”
