It’s been raining so long where I live that my two bull terriers are in danger of floating away.  I’ve got to get them water wings. Or a dinghy. And now the music news for May 6.

  1. Evidence that Radiohead is thinking of breaking up.
  2. Damn kids: Things people born since 2000 will never understand.
  3. UK music festivals are going to hold a blackout to raise awareness of sexual violence.
  4. On the same subject, some places are banning moshpits because of rampant groping.
  5. Blur drummer Dave Rowntree has been elected as a councillor for Labour in the UK elections.
  6. Funny: Liam Gallagher’s son wore a Blur t-shirt for a photo shoot.
  7. Kayne has deleted all his social media accounts! I supposed we’ll survive though…
  8. C’el Revuelta, bassist with Black Flag, has died as the result of glioblastoma, the same brain cancer affecting Gord Downie.
  9. MGMT says a new album is coming this year.
  10. So much for Bestival in Toronto this year…
  11. Loretta Lynn, who is 85, has been hospitalized following a stroke.
