A survey no one needed: The most-played metal band while pooping.
I know, I know. Clickbait based on something gross and weird. I feel shame even bringing it up. But hey, it’s a Friday in February and we all need a little levity, so I’m just going with it.
A British company called QS Supplies–they’re all about bathrooms, plumbing, and bathroom fixtures–commissioned this study so we’d read about QS Supplies. (British outfits rely on this advertising a lot.) They’d like us to know which metal bands are the most-played when music fans are pooping.
- 85% admit to singing in the bathroom. That includes vocalizing metal riffs. (Come on. You’ve done it to “Smoke on the Water.”)
- Deftones, System of A Down, and Kamelot are the most popular metal bands for pooping sessions.
- Metallica, Black Sabbath, and Sepultura are apparently great for listening while showering
- 38% people use AirPods on the toilet
- 11% can’t poop without listening to music
- 1 in 20 admit having anxiety about being overheard (I should hope)
- 1 in 10 British music fans say they listen to metal while showering.

- Overall, Tyler, The Creator is the most popular artist to listen do while doing number two.
- According to Spotify. Taylor Swift is the artist on shower and bathroom playlists. Yes, people make up playlists just for showering.
- 27% of people in the survey listen to music while showering
- Mpre Brits like pop for showing (42%) compared to Americans (38%)
