Billy McFarland is selling Fyre Fest. Interested?

After two failed attempts to stage a music festival for the young, rich, and stupid–the first of which got him sent to jail for fraud–Billy McFarland has decided to put Fyre Fest up for sale. He’s hoping to find a buyer that will “execute the vision of FYRE in a transparent, grand, and expeditious manner.” Uh-huh.

There’s more: “Giving control of the brand to a new group is the most responsible way to follow through on what we set out to do: build a global entertainment brand, host a safe and legendary event, and continue to pay restitution to those who are owed from the first festival.”

This is the second announcement from Billy this week. Earlier, he said that he was selling a portion of Fyre’s IP to a group who want to turn the brand into a streaming music service.

How much? No idea, but he’s taking offers. But why would anyone want to buy a brand so completely damaged by incompetence?
