Conspiracy theory: Taylor Swift voodoo will ensure the Kansas City Chiefs will win their third straight Super Bowl.

Like you and millions of others, I hate the Kansas City Chiefs. Yeah, they’re undeniably good, but (a) I’m bored of them winning, and (b) they wouldn’t be in the Super Bowl this year if not for some really questionable calls by officials throughout the season. (That one failed fourth down call against the Bills last week was…well, I screamed at my TV for two full minutes.)

The hate for the Chiefs is so great that many people believe that the NFL is in on the joke. This conspiracy theory says that the league has pulled all kinds of levers behind the scenes to ensure that the team has a chance for a three-peat.

You can read all about these theories here, but I want to bring one to your attention: “Tayvoodoo.” Follow me on this.

It is said that Taylor Swift possesses supernatural powers (well, duh) over things such as concert tickets and streaming numbers. This season, she put a spell on the Super Bowl during some fall concerts at the Superdome in New Orleans, the site of this year’s game between the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagle. In fact, her casting of the spell is right there on video. Watch as she mimics boyfriend Travis Kelce’s first-down sign followed up holding up three fingers indicating a three-peat.

WHAT MORE PROOF DO YOU NEED, PEOPLE?

The game on February 9 will pit the most-hated team against the team with the most-hated fans. How do you even being to pick a favourite?
