Here comes the lawsuits: Deryck Whibley and ex-Sum 41 manager Greig Nori are getting ready to sue each other

If you’ve read Deryck Whibley’s excellent memoir, Walking Disaster: My Life Through Heaven and Hell , you’ll know that he goes into excruciating detail about his relationship with Greig Nori, Sum 41’s one-time manager and producer. There are all kinds of allegations of s*xual misconduct. More specifically, Deryck says Nori had him in an abusive relationship when he was 18 and Nori was 30.

Nori has denied everything and threatened to sue. Deryck says “Bring it on.

Nori has indicated that he’s going to file a libel lawsuit against Deryck, looking for more than $6 million in damages, alleging “breach of confidence, intrusion upon seclusion, wrongful disclosure of private facts, and placing the plaintiff in a false light.”

Deryck has fired back, saying that he wants $3 million in damages for “defamation and placing the plaintiff in a false light.”

We’ll see where this goes.
