Here’s weekly Canadian CD and vinyl sales report

Vinyl’s sales lead over CDs increased last week. Here are the latest figures courtesy of Luminate.

  • CDs sold in Canada last week: 27,851 (down 11.9% from last week’s nice number)
  • Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 32,041 (down 16.6% from last week, which was also above average)
  • CDs sold in Canada this year: 529,133 (down 7.5% from this same week last year)
  • Vinyl sold in Canada this year: 614,270 (up 14.6% from this point in 2024)

Streaming numbers:

  • Songs streamed in Canada last week: 2,921,908,465 (up 1.4% from a week earlier)
  • Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 50,782,443,181 (up 5.6% from this time last year)
