Imagine Dragons will be the first to broadcast a song from the moon.
There have been several attempts to broadcast music back to Earth from a heavenly body. Blur tried to do it with the European Space Agency’s Beagle 2 probe to Mars, but the craft failed to land safely and although the song was probably played from the surface, the transmission antenna was either damaged for pointing the wrong way. We never did get to hear this.
Imagine Dragons are going to try something similar. The group’s 2023 Starfield theme, “Children of the Sky,” will be beamed back to Earth on a probe launched by a space tech company called Lodestar. If successful, this will be the first song to be ever broadcast from the Moon.
Witness history on February 26 when Lonestar’s Freedom Mission sends the first data center to the moon. 🚀
