Cool!

Iron Maiden fans can now buy a piece of Ed Force One. Yes, a piece of the actual 747.

Being in Iron Maiden is unbearably cool. Not only are they one of the greatest metal bands of all time, but the singer is a commercial pilot fully certified to fly a Boeing 747. When the group launched The Book of Souls world tour in 2016, they chartered a 747-400 for the band, crew, and gear. The aircraft, registered as TK-AAK, was painted up in a special Iron Maiden livery. And the pilot? Bruce Dickinson.

After the tour, Ed Force One lived at ZRH (Zurich), parked among private planes and government jets. But in 2024, with the fuel-thirsty -400 variant falling out of favour, TK-AAK was scraped. It is no more.

However, fans can now buy a piece of that actual aircraft. A company called Aviationtag.com, has been working for two years to upcycle chunks of Ed Force One in the form of a key ring. How much? They’re €66.66, of course.

Shop now. Each is numbered and there’s a strict limit of 12,000.
