Just announced: FireAid, a benefit for Los Angeles

Thousands of acres of LA have been wiped out because of the wildfires. Damages will probably soar past US$250 billion. To raise money, Irving Azoff (a music business power broker and super band manager) and his wife Shelli are organizing FireAid, a benefit for victims of the fire. It’s set for January 30 at the Intuit Dome and KIA Forum.

Here’s the initial lineup of artist:

  • Red Hot Chili Peppers
  • Billie Eilsh and Finneas
  • Dave Matthews
  • John Mayer
  • Green Day
  • Gracie Adams
  • Gwen Stefani
  • Jelly Roll
  • Joni Mitchell (!!!)
  • Lady Gaga
  • Lil Baby
  • Rod Stewart
  • Sting
  • Stephen Stills
  • Stevie Nicks
  • Tate McCrae
  • And, um, Earth, Wind & Fire (insert your own irony-based joke here)
  • More TBA

Tickets go on sale next Wednesday (January 22) at 9am ET through Ticketmaster. All proceeds will go a series of designated beneficiaries. American Express, Intuit and UBS are the first brand partners.

The event will also be streamed Apple Music and the Apple TV app, Max, iHeartRadio, KTLA+, Netflix/Tudom, Paramount+, Prime Video and the Amazon Music Channel on Twitch, SiriusXM, Spotify, SoundCloud, Veeps, and YouTube, and at select AMC Theatre locations in 70 US markets.
