Oscar nominations came out this morning. The Bob Dylan biopic did very well

The Academy Awards are pushing ahead despite the chaos of the LA wildfires. The nominations were announced this morning (a full list here) but let’s concentrate on the music-related categories.

The Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown, did very well, scooping up eight nominations.

The original song nominees are:

  • “El Mal” from “Emilia Pérez”
  • “The Journey” from “The Six Triple Eight”
  • “Like a Bird” from “Sing Sing”
  • “Mi Camino” from “Emilia Pérez”
  • “Never Too Late” from “Elton John: Never Too Late”

The original score nominees are.

  • “The Brutalist”  
  • “Conclave” 
  • “Emilia Pérez”  
  • “Wicked”
  • “The Wild Robot”

The Academy Awards are set for March 2.
