Pearl Jam is behind today’s “economic boycott”

If you’ve been following social media, a consumer economic boycott has been declared for today (February 28). This is largely an American action against the insane policies of the Trump administration and his toady billionaires, but given that Canada is under siege from America with tariffs, insults, and the utterly stupid “51st state” talk, many Canadians are also taking part.

People are being asked to make no purchases from Amazon, big-box retailers, American fast food chains, American-owned gas stations, and so on. No shopping/purchasing from any of the big corporations. Instead, people are being asked to patronize small local business.

Pearl Jam is doing their part by closing their Ten Store today and encouraging people to participate in the boycott. Let’s see what kind of message this sends.
