Subaru has turned exhaust notes into a song

Car manufactures agonize over the sound of the exhaust notes produced by their petrol-guzzling constructions. And with good reason. The sound of a Ferrari, Jaguar, or Lamborghini can be as intoxicating of the drive.

Some time ago on the old Top Gear, James May, a music major, tried to replicate the show’s theme (a version of the Allman Brothers’ “Jessica”) by recording the exhaust sounds of various vehicles. The results were somewhat…underwhelming.

ßubaru’s exhaust people have tried something similar, creating a music video using the sounds of an STI. Let’s see how they did.
