Time to dig into your closet. These are the most valuable vintage band t-shirts.

Are you the kind of person who wears your band t-shirts until they wear out? Or do you treat them like precious museum pieces? If you’re part of that latter group, there might be some gold sitting in a closet or drawer.

A new survey by Spreadshirt.com (via Loudwire) has resulted in a list of the most valuable vintage band t-shirts, and apparel for which collectors will pay big dollars. (All figures in USD.)

  1. The “panther” shirt from the Grateful Dead’s 1994 tour: $2,750
  2. Nirvana “In Utero” tour (1993): $2,000
  3. The Post tour t-shirt from Bjork (1995): $1,895
  4. A shirt from Bjork’s early 90s tour: $1,400
  5. The Louder Than Love Soundgarden shirt from 1989: $1,349.99
  6. Kanye West: Late Registration tour (2000s): $1,300
  7. Prince (1993): $1,299
  8. Another Bjork shirt. The Army of Me single tour t-shirt (1995): 1,250.
  9. Metallica and the Load tour (1996): $1,250
  10. Nirvana: Sliver shirt (1992): $1,200

Overall, the band with the most valuable t-shirts is Nirvana with an average resale value of $279 followed by the Red Hot Chili Peppers ($241), and, er, Earth Wind & Fire ($235).
